Business analysis is an important discipline in projects and organizations. Many organizations are increasingly embracing business analysis as a technique for uncovering business requirements and problem solving.
The Business Analyst Program (BAP) is a training intervention designed for employees performing strategic business functions within organisations. Strategic functions such as: business development, sales and client engagement, corporate strategy, human resource management, financial management and control etc. The program’s modules were carefully crafted from a bouquet of learning areas typically used in training business analysts at global management consulting firms/practices.
The training program is designed to enhance the business analytical skills of participants – potentially improving their functional competences and deepen their ability to analyse and add value in their respective industries. The programme focuses on 7 business analytical and management courses, outlined below.
The programme will also grant participants access to real-life consulting projects – using standard problem-solving and value adding methodologies – to existing clients and organisations. This approach will enhance the relevance and application of the entire training programme.

Learning Objectives
- How to conduct market and industry assessment – market sizing, customer/market segmentation, competitive landscape assessment, business trends analysis, Using Potter’s 5 and value chain analysis.
- How to write and prepare professional and contemporary documents – logic and structure in thinking and writig, excelent formatting of documents in Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint and Excel – using clear illustrations and animation. Business documents – writing – emails – proposals, meeting notes and reports.
- Strategic Planning and Documentation – Writing business cases, plans and business model canvas.
- How to conduct current state assessments for business and using strategic planning to define future state.
- How to build simple models for financially evaluating opportunities – simple financial models.
- Use of appropriate frameworks to execute the above such as – MECE (By Mckinsey), SWOT Analysis Matrix, Decision Trees, Cost Benefit Analysis, PESTLE Analysis etc.
- Personal Development – Learning to self-start a personal development programme in today’s knowledge economy – knowing how and what to read that will optimise knowldge and skill acquisition.
- Research – Learning how to conduct primary and secondary research – documenting appropriately for decision making.
